The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is a non-governmental organzation that has developed one of the world's most widely recoginized sustainability reporting frameworks. The GRI framework sets out the principles and indicators that organizations can use to measure and report their economic, environmental, and social performance.

The foundation of the framework is the Sustainability Reporting Guidelines. The most recent version, G3 was published in 2006 and is publically available and free to access. The GRI also publishes supplements specific to various industry sectors and National Annexes which contain unique country information. The Sustainability Reporting Guidelines can be accessed on the GRI Website, along with resources and support to get organizations started with using the GRI.
